Boy run over

Barasat, June 3(UNI) A seven-year old boy was today killed in a road accident on the Taki Road at Beliaghata in North 24 Parganas, police said.

The accident took place when a vehicle rammed into the victim while he was walking along the road with his mother, police said.

Angry local people immediately raised a blockade on the road that lasted for about three hours disrupting the traffic on the busy state highway.

The blockade was lifted after police intervention.
