Bikaner school recognition cancelled for aiding Pak spy

Bikaner, June 3 (UNI) The Primary Education Department has cancelled recognition of a private school here for issuing fake transfer certificate (TC) to an alleged Pakistan spy Asgar Ali.

Pakistani citizen Asgar Ali was arrested in 2002 on spying charges. Ali got a fake TC made from Bikaner's Suman Bal Vidyalaya for class VIII to prove his residence credentials. The police seized the register of the school.

The district education official found fake TCs when they checked the school records.

During the investigations, the district education official Heera Lal Balao ordered the cancellation of school's recognition.

Recognition of two other private schools have also been cancelled for issuing fake TCs.
