Two persons found dead at ring well

Imphal, June 1 (UNI) Two persons were found dead in a ring well in Churachandpur district of Manipur.

Police said here today that the incident occured at Rengkai village yesterday.

Fire brigade personnel retrieved the bodies from the well.

Officials said the cause of the dead could be lack of oxygen.

Earlier on May 23, 1999 five persons died while working at a ring well.

Meanwhile, police reported a case of food poisoning at Ukhrul district.

Police said five persons were rushed to Ukhrul hospital.
