Tech Mahindra to set up two new centres

New Delhi, June 1 (UNI) Tech Mahindra, global telecom solution provider, today announced plans to open software development centres in the two Tier cities like Hyderabad and Chandigarh along with its new centre in Noida.

''We have also acquired land in the eastern metro city of Kolkata to open another centre soon in the future,'' Tech Mahindra Vice Chairman and MD Vineet Nayyar told reporters here.

The centre in Noida will provide employment to 2000 professionals and is integral to the expansion of the company's service offerings and delivery capabilities, he said.

''The organisation has been on a continuous journey of transformation, addressing new players in the telecom ecosystem and expanding service lines. We have chosen Noida because of its rapidly developing infrastructure, IT-friendly policies and access to high quality pool of software professionals, Mr Nayyar said.

Tech Mahindra registered an increase of 130 per cent in its net profit at Rs 235.4 crore in FY06 compared to Rs 102.4 crore in FY05.
