State BJP blames DF Govt for rise in terror activities

Mumbai, June 1 (UNI) Condemning the bid by militants to attack the RSS headquarters in Nagpur, Maharashtra BJP today blamed the Congress-led Democratic Front (DF) Government for ''rise in terror activities in the State'' and said the RSS and BJP will not be cowed down by such incidents.

In a statement issued here, state party president Nitin Gadkari said the fact that the terrorists tried to enter the RSS building wearing police uniform and flaunting a beacon light on their car, indicates that the law and order situation in Maharashtra is poor.

He complimented the police officials who killed the terrorists in the encounter and the police commissioner for handling the situation well.

''Last month, some terrorists had allegedly stayed in the MLA Hostel here and the Home Department was not even aware of it. We hope that the Home Minister will wake up at least now,'' he added.
