Shabir Shah arrested yet again in Kashmir

Srinagar, June 1 : Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chief Shabir Ahmad Shah and six others were today arrested by police at Baramulla in north Kashmir, official sources said.

They said a police party stopped Mr Shah,s vehicle and took him into preventive custody.

A spokesman of the DFP said Mr Shah along with six other DFP leaders was on way to Handwara when he was arrested by police at Baramulla.

He said Mr Shah was going to meet the parents of 22 students who were killed in Wullar boat tragedy on May 30.

Mr Shah was also prevented yesterday from going to Handwara when he was detained at Mirgund. However, he was released late last night.
