Dubai, June 1 (UNI) A security guard at the Indian consulate in Dubai has been detained for his alleged links with India's most wanted criminals and for compromising on several security aspects.
The accused, Hanumanth Singh, was picked up by sleuths of the Intelligence Bureau after officials noted his penchant for lavish life style and expensive alcohol, which was not within the reach of his regular income.
Singh was drawn from the Rajasthan Armed Constabulary for a three-year tenure in Dubai, 'Gulf Today' reported.
Singh has been charged with helping people with questionable credentials and criminal links.
Meanwhile, the IB is believed to be working on gathering details of those who benefited from Singh's access to the consulate.
