Royal Navy Chief leaves after two-day visit

Kochi, Jun 1 (UNI) Admiral Sir Jonathon Band, First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff, Royal Navy, United Kingdom, left today for Colombo at the end of a two-day visit here.

Admiral Band, accompanied by his wife, Lady Sarah Band, had arrived yesterday to visit the Southern Naval Command headquarters here.

The First Sea Lord interacted with Rear Admiral Rajender Singh, Chief of Staff, Headquarters, Southern Naval Command, and discussed a wide range of issues.

He also interacted with other senior officers on various training issues and also visited various professional training schools in the Naval Base.

The First Sea Lord visited Alappuzha this morning and later left for Colombo, official sources said.
