PRO to conduct concert on controlling arms

Imphal, June 1 : The Peoples' Rights Organisation (PRO) will hold a concert on June 4 to commemorate 'UN International Day for Innocent Children and Victims of Agression' at Imphal to educate people about the need of controlling arms.

PRO Chairman Munindro said the programme would be carried out as a part of the 'Control Arms Campaign' and jointly run by Amnesty International, PRO, Viveka Foundation, South Asia Small Arms Action Network and Humane Organisation.

The PRO urged everyone to participate in the concert and said music was the best way to reach out to the youth.

Susmit Bose, a well known singer, would hold interactive music sessions and perform numbers from his music album 'Public Issue,' based on social issues, human rights and AIDS.
