Police unearths arms unit, 2 arrested

Kanpur, June 1 (UNI) Police today unearthed an illegal firearms manufacturing factory in Panki area here.

Munna and Shamim, residents of Banda district, were arrested from the spot, police said.

The duo were running the illicit trade from a rented accomodation in Gangaganj. On a tip-off, police conducted a raid and recovered a large quantity of firearms including revolvers and equipment.

The duo were later sent to jail.
