Police custody for robbery case accused
Hyderabad, Jun 1 (UNI) A local court here today granted police custody till June 12 for the accused in the sensational Rs six-crore Alukkas Robbery Case.
The III Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate granted police custody of Vinod Rambali Singh and Ajay Jawahar Singh when the case came up for hearing this morning.
The accused will have to be produced before the court on June 13.
The plea for police custody was made as the police wanted to know the whereabouts of the other accused Srikanth Singh and details of the stolen property.
The robbery which took place on the intervening night of May 14 and 15 at the posh Panjagutta Area sent shockwaves among the citizens as the showroom was located very near to the police station.
On May 19, the Mumbai police arrested the accused while Srikanth Singh managed to escape. They recovered a major part of the booty.
The duo were brought here yesterday from Mumbai by the Central Crime Station (CCS) team and produced before the court which granted them judicial custody till June 13.
