Indo-China border personnel meet held
Guwahati, Jun 1 (UNI) A Border Personnel Meeting (BPM) between Indian and Chinese Army was held at Bum La in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh on May 30.
A PIB (Defence Wing) release informed here today that the meeting was part of Confidence Building Measures (CBMs), undertaken by both the sides.
The first such meeting was held on May 30, 2003, and has been a continuous process since then, the release said.
As part of the BPM, a cultural show, exhibiting the heritage of both the countries, was held. The Chinese side also presented entertainment items for the first time.
Besides the formal meeting, informal interaction between the two sides was successful, the release added.
