Indian support essential for Nepal: Speaker
Kathmandu, June 1 (UNI) Speaker of the Nepalese House of Representatives Subhash Nemwang has said Indian support is necessary to usher in permanent peace and resolve Maoists insurgency in the country.
Speaking at a programme organised to welcome Indian delegation in Kathmandu, Mr Nemwang said,'' Visit of the Indian parliamentarians clearly reveals that India was impressed with the political change in Nepal.'' Rajya Sabha member Nirmala Deshpandey said, ''People's power is the supreme power,'' adding there is the need to strive for inclusive democracy in the Himalayan Kingdom Leader of Communist Party of India Sudhakar Reddy said,'' We must learn lessons from Nepal as the parties here have succeeded in bringing Maoists to the negotiating table.'' Congress leader P K Thulang pledged his party's support to the leaders here.
