Indian Navy extending help to quake victims

Visakhapatnam, June 1 : The Indian Navy is extending help to quake victims in Indonesia, as part of which, ''INS Rajput'' has reached the shores of that country with relief materials, including medicines.

A navy press release here today said the ship was currently anchored in Jakarta port. A medical team has also been sent. Another frigate, ''INS Tabar'' has also been dispatched with relief materials. It is scheduled to reach Indonesia on June six.

Meanwhile, the ships of the Eastern fleet ''INS Rana'', ''Jyothi Kulish'' and ''Jyothi Kiran'' deployed in the waters off Malacca Straits and South China Sea are continuing their joint exercises with the navies of the countries to build friendly relations.
