India hails US offer to join dialogue on Iran

New Delhi, June 1 (UNI) India today welcomed the readiness of the US to join in the dialogue between EU-3 and Iran on the latter's nuclear programme.

''India has all along advocated that issues relating to Iran's nuclear programme ought to be resolved through dialogue and that confrontation should be avoided,'' an official spokesman said here.

''We believe that with all sides displaying flexibility and adopting a constructive and forward looking approach, the ongoing diplomatic efforts should reach successful conclusion,'' the spokesman said.
