IAS, IPS officers transferred

Bhopal, June 1 : In a major administrative reshuffle, the Madhya Pradesh government has transferred 10 IAS officers and 16 IPS officers, shifting the Home Secretary and Superintendent of Police of seven districts.

In the transfer orders issued late last night, among the IAS officers given fresh posting orders were Bhopal Collector Sanajy Shukla who was shifted to the Secretariat as Deputy Secretary Finance.

Mr S K Mishra, who was removed as Sehore Collector on the Election Commission's directive following violation of the model code of conduct in the Budhni Assembly byelection last month, has been posted as Bhopal Collector.

Two Additional Chief Secretary rank officers reshuffled are Amar Singh and Vinod Choudhary. Seven other officers shifted are mostly heading government undertakings. They include Mr M A Khan, Mr S K Vashisht, Mr Ajit Kesri, Mr Omesh Mundra and Mr Jabbar Dankwala.

Mr Mundra has been posted as Additional Secretary to the Governor replacing Mr Satish Chandra Mishra, who was appointed Managing Director State Texbook Corporation.

Mr Ajit Kesri, Managing Director, Discom, Bhopal, has been posted as Commissioner, Chambal Division at Morena.

In the reshuffle of IPS officers, the Superintendent of Police of Morena, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna, Chhatarpur, Sheopur and Satna districts have been changed. Gwalior Inspector General of Police Sanjay Rana has been posted as Home Secretary in place of Mr Sarbajit Singh, who was posted at the former's place. IG Intelligence Vijay Yadav has been posted as Chambal Range IG.

Mr Sanjay Mane and Mr A P Singh, DIG of Gwalior and Chambal respectively, have been attached to police headquarters.

Meanwhile, Mr P K Sharma, Additional DGP Training, has been given additional charge of Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Police Housing Corporation.
