Heated exchanges in Pondy House

Pondicherry,June 1(UNI)AIADMK legislature party leader A Anbazhagan had heated exchanges with S P Sivakumar(DMK) and R.Viswanathan(CPI) in the territorial assembly today.

The argument ensued when Mr Anbazhagan while greeting the Speaker and Deputy Speaker, referred to the functioning of the assembly in another state to which Mr Sivakumar objected and locked horns with Anbazhagan.

Later he made a remark about the Speaker of the previous assembly which drew a protest from Mr Viswanathan.

Intervening in the heated exchanges, Chief Minster N Rangasamy suggested that all portions of Anbazhagan's speech barring the onr greeting the Speaker and Deputy Speaker be expunged .

Accepting this plea Speaker R Radhakrishnan expunged the portions from Mr Anbazhagan's speech.
