New Delhi, June 1 (UNI) Union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy today admitted that there existed a huge gap between the Master Plan of Delhi and the actual ground realities.

''The Master Plan of Delhi remains far from practical as there is a big gap between Master Plan and ground realities and, therefore, Delhi was in denial mode since decades,''Mr Reddy said at a meeting with traders led by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT).

Interacting with the traders, Mr Reddy admitted that so far Delhi was dependent upon planners who unfortunately "are far away from ground realities".

Accepting the demand of traders for making public the Tejindra Khanna Committee report, Mr Reddy declared that very soon the report would be available on the web. He asked the traders to forward their suggestions on Khanna Committee report.

Delhi MLA Subhash Chopra also attended the meeting.
