BSP MP surrenders before the Court

Jaunpur, June 1 : Uma Kant Ydav, Bahujan Samaj Party MP from Machlishahar, against whom a criminal case was registered in Khuthan police station, today surrendered before the Chief Judicial Magistrate court.

He, however, was released on bail afterwards, the official sources said here.

One Srikant of Kairadih village, in a case had alleged that the MP along with his supporters manhandled and threatened to kill him.

Acting on the report, the police had earlier raided residence of Uma Kant Yadav but he was not found.

The BSP MP today surrendered before the acting Chief Judicial Magistrate Ashok Kumar Yadav and was released on bail.He has been directed to appear in the court as and when required.
