Bank officers take examination online

Chennai, June 1 (UNI) About 867 officers of the Indian Overseas Bank took their promotion exams through Sify Limited.

A Sify release here today said the online examination engine, iTest, facilitated the scale I to scale II promotion examination for the IOB officers through the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS), that conducts recruitment for banks and financial institutions, besides PSUs.

Prof V K Chilana of IBPS, said ''conducting online examinations has helped IBPS in reducing turnaround times while also opening up an additional mode of deliver for us. The success of this initiative has given us the confidence to offer online testing services on a larger scale in future'', he added.
