Puri, June 1 (UNI) Wonder marathon kid from Orissa Budhia Singh, who recently created a record and entered into the Limca Book of Record by running non stop 65 kms, was recreated on a sand sculpture as a hero of the International Children's Day 2006.

International acclaimed sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik recreated the image of Budhia on the sandy beach of Puri to celebrate his achievement and encourage him on the International Children's day.

The sand artist erected a seven feet height sculpture showing Budhia at the top of the world among many children with a message ''Play with children, No Politics''.

Several children who thronged to the sea beach to witness the unique art on sand, put their signature and wished Budhia to bring more glory to the state and the country.

Pattnaik said he would send a copy of the photograph of the sculpture to President A P J Abdul Kalam. It took almost five hours for the sand artist to create the peice of art with the help of the students of his Golden Sand Art Institute.

Pattnaik, who participated in more than 28 international sand sculpture championships around the world and won many awards, had been invited to participate in the Berlin International Sand Sculpture Competition next month.

His sand sculpture on Black Taj Mahal has earned him accolades all over the world. Pattnaik won the first prize at the international sand sculpting championship in Berlin last year for his sculpture of world peace'.
