5 killed as van hits bus

Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, Jun 1 (UNI) Five people were killed and three injured when the van in which they were travelling collided with a private bus at Silambimangalam Village in this district today.

Police said all the victims were travelling in the van. The deceased included the driver, a woman and a child.

The injured were admitted to the Annamalai University Hospital at Chidambaram in an unconscious state.

The van was on its way to Chennai from Chidambaram, while the bus was proceeding to Chidambaram from Cuddalore Town when the mishap occurred.
