Yediyurappa's bete noire expresses 'regrets' to BJP

New Delhi, May 31 (UNI) BJP MP and former Union Minister Basavaraj Patil Yethnal who is having an open row with Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa today offered his regrets for his outbursts to party President Rajnath Singh.

The party claimed that things had been sorted out amicably.

Party Spokesman Prakash Javadekar said following the expression of regret the matter was treated as resolved.

Sources said that Mr Yethnal had been advised not to raise the issues that were essentially internal matters in public.

Mr Yethnal, a camp follower of BJP General Secretary Ananth Kumar, had demanded removal of Mr Yediyurappa from the BJP Legislature Party leadership for proposing to induct a newcomer female MLC into the state Cabinet in preference over several party seniors. Karnataka BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Dr Vamanachar was present along with the former Union Minister.

Yesterday, Mr Yediyurappa, who was here to attend the National Executive, gave his version to BJP General Secretary Sanjay Joshi and senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi and other leaders.
