Villagers lock school after poor matric result

Rohtak, May 31 (UNI) Irked by poor results in the matriculation examinations, residents of Pilana in Kalanaur block of the district today locked the village government high school.

The irate villagers were protesting against the school teachers in the wake of poor results of the students in the Matriculation Examination. They demanded transfer of the school headmaster and other teachers who did not perform their duties well.

According to reports, hundreds of residents of the village assembled at the village high school in the morning and locked the school gate after asking all the students to come out of their classrooms.

The villagers alleged that the headmaster and teachers of the school always came late and were not dedicated towards their profession resulting in poor performance of the students in the matriculation Board examinations. They were also agitated over the appointment of an outsider female teacher as a guest teacher in the school by the headmaster ignoring the claim of a candidate belonging to Pilana village.
