Testing of medium range guns in Pokhran

Jaisalmer, May 31 (UNI) The new artillery howitzers being considered by the Indian Army will be tested in Pokhran today.

Swedish arms majors' Bofors' new MWS gun and Israel's Soltam company's medium range guns will be tested at the Pokhran Field Firing range.

According to sources, these guns from the foreign companies will be tested both in extreme summer and winter before being put to use.

The guns will be also tested in Ladakh under winter conditions.

The companies will be given the orders only after the Army is satisfied with the performance of the guns.
