SW Monsoon advances into Rayalaseema

Hyderabad, May 31 (UNI) The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into most parts of Rayalaseema and some more parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh today.

Isolated rain occurred over Coastal Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema regions. Veeraghattam in Srikakulam district and Nizamabad recorded rainfall of four cms and one cm each.

The maximum temperatures changed little over the state yesterday.

They were below normal at many places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema and at a few places over Telangana.

The highest maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius was recorded at Ramagundam.
