Shiv Sena to oppose Maan's June four function

Phagwara, May 31 (UNI) Punjab Shiv Sena (Bal Thackrey) have decided to oppose the proposed function of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD-Amritsar) headed by Simaranjit Singh Maan to be held at Sangh Dhesian on June 4, in which relatives of slain militants would be honoured.

Addressing reporters here yesterday Sena state state president Ravinder Arora said Mr Maan had indulged in such ''anti-national games'' in the past.

The Shiv Sena would ask the Kapurthala district authorities not to grant permission to Mr Maan to hold this function.
