Rhythmist to rewrite Limca record
Hyderabad, May 31 : Renowned rhythmist, Kathak and Kuchipudi dancer A V Sridhar has started non-stop rhythm playing to enter into the Limca Book of World Records and break the existing one of 24-hour non-stop playing.
Speaking to newspersons here yesterday, he said he would use percussion instruments like Jazz, Pad, Tabla, and Chango.
Mr Sridhar, who started his career at the young age of six, had launched 'Muvva International Organisation' to promote music and culture. He has performed in the US and the UK.
Mr Sridhar said, ''I am going to break the existing record by playing non-stop for 25 hours''.
Several music directors and film personalities turned up for the programme launched at Tyagarajagana Sabha yesterday.
