Private hospitals close OPD
Bhopal, May 31(UNI) Private hospitals kept the out patient Departments (OPD) closed in the state today to express solidarity with the agitating junior doctors who continued their strike despite the Supreme Court order to resume duty.
Madhya Pradesh Junior Doctors Association President Manish Rawat said relay hunger strike by the junior doctors continued here.
Medical Teachers Association, retired IPS officers and doctors of private hospitals addressed a public meeting organised by the striking doctors, he said.
Only emergency cases were attended in private hospitals, Mr Rawat added.
Meanwhile, Bhopal Chemists Association President Lalit Jain said all chemist shops would be kept closed during Bhopal bandh on June 3 in support of the junior doctors.
