Pak-based militant awarded 12 years rigorous imprisonment

Jammu, May 31 (UNI) A local court has sentenced a Pakistan-based militant to 12 years rigorous imprisonment and one year simple imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 2500.

The accused, Mohammad Nawaz, was held guilty of entering the country without valid documents.

Nawaz had crossed the border from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir to India via Rajouri along with arms and ammunition in 2004.

He had surrendered to the army. Arms and ammunition was also recovered from him during the course of investigations.
