MP experiences extremes of weather
Bhopal, May 31 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh today witnessed extremes of weather as the state's northern part was affected by scorching hot winds, while several places in the west experienced squalls and showers.
Humidity made denizens uncomfortable in other parts though the temperature registered a drop.
The northern part has been loo-affected for the past three days and the mercury shot up to 47 degrees Celsius at Sheopur while the citadel town Gwalior sizzled at 45.4 C, three notches above normal.
A half-hour-long downpour was recorded at Jhabua and Shajapur.
The state capital recorded a high of 39.2 C and a low of 29.2 C.
Isolated rain is likely over the next 24 hours at some places in Indore, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Jabalpur and Rewa divisions.
