Monsoon is round the corner: Bhadram
Mumbai, May 31 : Monsoon is round the corner in the western coastal area, Deputy Director General Meteorological Department (DDGM) Mr C V V Bhadram said here today.
Last night's rainfall brought the much-needed relief to citizens, who were reeling under sweltering summer heat.
Mr Bhadram said monsoon is round the corner and it is expected to reach Maharashtra any moment.
He said heavy to very heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder showers and lightning is likely in Konkan region and others parts of the state in the next 24 hours.
The weather bureau has recorded 128.8 mm rainfall at Colaba and 45 mm at the Santacruz.
The maximum temperature recorded at Coloba was 33.3 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature was 24.1 degrees Celsius, while Santacruz recorded a maximum temperature of 34.00 degree Celcius and A minimum of 24.3 degrees Celsius, the weather bureau officials said.
