Mauni Baba's condition improves

Ujjain, May 31(UNI) Union HRD Minister Arjun Singh's spiritual guide and prominent saint Mauni Baba's condition is improving, his aides said today.

On the initiative of Mr Singh, a team of doctors flew in here from Delhi yesterday and treated the saint at his Ashram located on the bank of the Kshipra river.

Ashram sources said 75-year-old Baba had taken ill on Monday night. The doctors from Delhi suggested that there was no need for taking the saint to Delhi for treatment and he could be treated in the temple town itself with the help of local doctors. His condition was improving, the sources added.

Mr Arjun Singh's daughter Veena Singh is camping here to supervise the treatment of Mauni Baba. Mr Singh, an ardent devotee of the Baba, is currently on an official visit to Saudi Arabia.
