Shimla, May 31 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said his government will soon sign an implementation agreement with the Ford Company that was constructing the Ski Village Resort at Manali in Kullu district of the state.

Talking to mediapersons here, he said conditions would, however, be imposed on the promoters and they have to seek prior permission of the state government before selling or leasing out the villas.

Mr Singh said there was no reason to oppose the project, which would be comparable with any international ski resort and generate large scale direct and indirect employment to the local youth of the state.

When asked about the opposition of local ''devatas'' to the project, he said no ''devata'' would interfere with a project meant for prosperity of people.

The Chief Minister said there was a vast scope for developing similar ski villages in Chansel Pass and other high altitude areas of Shimla district, adding that Chansel Ski slopes were longest in the world and global tenders would be invited for developing them.
