HC direct Devaswom Board to offer remarks into irregularities
Kochi, May 31 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today directed the Travancore Devaswom Board to offer its remarks in respect of the suggestions made by the investigating officer of vigilance department, who enquired into the irregulatities in Sabarimala.
A Division Bench, comprising Justice R Bhaskaran and Justice K T Sankaran, adjourned the matter to consider the response of Devaswom board after a month.
In the vigilance inquiry, various suggestions were made not to repeat the irregularities in future. The Court has also permitted the Devaswom board to take action against the officials, who were indicted by the vigilance enquiring prima face responsible for the malpractices.
Earlier, the Bench had ordered vigilance enquiry on the basis of the report of Sabarimala Devaswom Commissioner R Sreevallabhan.
