Four arrested for plotting kidnapping drama

Barrackpore, May 31 (UNI) Police arrested a 22-year-old youth and three accomplices for plotting a kidnapping drama with an intention to get money from the youth's father.

The accomplices demanded Rs 30,000 from Arjun's father and allegedly threatened of dire consequences to Arjun, North 24 Parganas Superintendent of Police Praveen Kumar said today.

After receiving the complaint from Arjun's father at Dum Dum police station, the quartet was arrested when they assembled to take money as demanded over phone, Mr Kumar said.

Investigation revealed that Arjun had planned to use the money to purchase a second hand motor byke.
