Eunuchs protest over murder, allege police inaction

Tiruchirapalli, May 31 (UNI) About 100 eunuchs affiliated to South India Aravanis (EUNUCHs) Rights and Rehabilitation Centre today staged a slogan shouting demonstration in front of the district collectorate here today.

They were condemning the alleged police lethargy in investigating the murder of a transexual recently.

The demonstrators, led by P Mohana, Managing Trustee of the Centre, also demanded transfer of the case to CBCID and the arrest of the owner of a private lodge where the transexual was murdered by an unidentified person on May 25 last.
