DS Constructions awarded Lucknow-Sitapur road project

New Delhi, May 31 (UNI) DS Constructions Ltd, a leading infrastructure company has been awarded the Lucknow - Sitapur road project by NHAI on a BOT basis.

''The Lucknow-Sitapur road project is a significant road project as it will improve and enhance the connectivity of two important trade centers, Lucknow and Sitapur with other parts of the country.

The project is another feather in the cap for DS Constructions who is committed to quality, timeliness and efficiency and is dedicated in partnering in projects for the progress of the country'' Managing Director MS Narula said.

Work on the Rs. 322 crore project, connecting the two strategic cities of Lucknow and Sitapur is expected to be complete within 42 months, by June 2009.

Once completed, the project will enhance the accessibility of Western UP, Uttaranchal, Northern Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu&Kashmir to the East-West Corridor and the Golden Quadilateral.

The connectivity will lead to economic growth in the region by giving impetus to the local industries in Lucknow, known for its handloom industry, glass and glass products, paper etc. and Sitapur, which is an important center for grain, oilseed, jute, sugar and plywood industries.
