Dalli Rajhara-Ravghat rail line soon

New Delhi,May 31(UNI)Railway Minister Lalu Prasad today assured Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh that a decision would be taken soon on the construction of Dalli Rajhara-Ravghat rail line in the state with the joint efforts of the Ministry, Steel Authority of India Ltd and the state Government.

The assurance came when the Chief Minister met the Railway Minister here and discussed Railway projects in the state with him.

Dr Raman Singh impressed upon the Railway Minister that, in view of the approval of the Prime Minister's Office to Dalli Rajhara railway project,the Railway Ministry should initiate steps for early construction of the project. The state Government was prepared to render all assistance for the purpose,he added.

The Chief Minister also urged Mr Prasad to have survey undertaken a broadgauge for converting Raipur-Dhamtari narrow gauge line into rail line and for third line between Durg and Nagpur. The Railway Minister assured him that work to this effect would start on a priority basis.

Dr Singh also demanded extention of Vishrampur-Bilaspur Express upto Durg, daily running of the weekly Bilaspur-Yeshwantpur express and Puri-Ahmadabad Express, and bi-weekly running of Jaipur-Jodhpur Express. Mr Prasad assured that the proposals would be examined.
