CPI holds demo on loan write off
Rajahmundry, May 31 (UNI) More than 100 CPI and Rythu Coolie Sangam activists today laid siege to the District Central Cooperative Bank (DCCB) paralysing normal work, as part of the state-wide agitation demanding write-off of loans under Rs one lakh taken by farmers from the bank.
Speaking on the occasion, CPI District Samithi Secretary Meesala Satyanarayana said farmers had lost crops continuously and were unable to repay the loans. Hence, they should be written off.
