Court directive to ex-Minister on contempt case
Kochi, May 31 (UNI) A full bench of the Kerala High Court today directed Former Minister and Muslim League Leader Cherkulam Abdulla to appear in person before the court on June 21 in a contempt of court case.
The Bench comprising Mr Justice J B Koshy, Mr Justice A K Basheer and Mr Justice K P Balachandran said it was not inclined to accept the unconditional apology tendered by Mr Abdulla.
Mr P Damodaran, Secretary, Vyapari Vyapasai Ekopana Samithy, Cheruvathoor in Kasargode district, filed the contempt of court case alleging the reception organised at Cheruvathoor when Mr Cherkulam was a Minister violated the guidelines prescribed by High Court for conducting processions and rallies.
