CM lays foundation stone for White Field Paper Mills

Bayyavaram (West Godavari), May 31 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today claimed that the state had become a favourite destination for industrialists during the last two years.

After laying the foundation stone for Rs 1200 crore White Field Paper Mills Limited (WFPML) on the banks of river Godavari, here, Dr Reddy said the new venture would ensure employment for nearly 1000 youth.

The WFPML would be eco-friendly and the required pulp would be imported from Elof Hansson, Sweden. The Company would apply modern technology to produce quality paper both for export and the domestic use.

Speaking on the occasion WFPMLT chairman Srinivasa Rao said the MOU was signed on March 27. WFML had a tie up with Elof Hansson for the pulp supply and would make use of the Kakinada port for the export of finished products and the import of the raw materials, he added.

The unit would manufacture chrome art paper and special papers to cater to the needs of the writing and printing market segments.
