BJP confused over reservation issue: Uma Bharti
New Delhi, May 31 (UNI) Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti today accused the BJP of being confused over the quota issue and remarked that there was no place in the party for those sympathetic to the cause of reservation.
In a statement, Ms Bharti, who was the face of the backward classes in the BJP until she was expelled from the party and formed the Bharatiya Janashakti Party, said the events at its National Executive had showed that the BJP was still in the clutches of a few individuals who controlled the decision making body.
Ms Bharti, who is currently on a Bharat Bachao Yatra from Rameshwaram to Kedarnath to ''highlight the the challenges posed to India by foreign capital investment and leadership'', expressed her support for the creation of a separate state of Telangana.
The demand was justified because smaller states would mean better administration, she said.
