24 KG Charas seized from Indo-Nepal border

New Delhi, May 31 (UNI) About 24 Kg of Charas has been seized from different areas of Uttar Pradesh on the Indo-Nepal border by personnel of the Sashatra Seema Bal.

SSB personnel of Thuthibari district in Maharajganj in Uttar Pradesh, in a joint operation with the UP police on May 28, seized 20 Kg of charas in Rajabari village on the Indo-Nepal border, an SSB release said.

In another incident, SSB personnel of Shardapuri district in Lakhimpur Kheri in UIttar Pradesh, in a joint operation with the local police, apprehended two persons and seized 4.6 Kg of charas.

A case has been registered against the arrested persons at the Sampurnanagar police station in Lakhimpur Kheri district, the release said.
