Two KLO militants arrested with arms

Malda, May 30 (UNI) Police arrested two KLO militants along with arms and ammunition from Habipur here lat night official sources said today.

On interrogation, Malkan Singh and Mohd Ilais, admitted that they had kept the arms with a man belonging to Hibipur.

An AK-56 revolver, 84 rounds of cartridges and three magazines were recovered from them. They said they had undergone training at ISI camps in Bangladesh and were providing arms and ammunition to various militant organisations. besides they also provided shelter to militants from Bangladesh.

Police Superintendent Dilip Mondal said the two militants were also involved in killing a DYFI leader, five years ago at Pakuahat.
