Super Cricket Assn launched in AP
Vijayawada, May 30 (UNI) Vijayawada East MLA V Radhakrishna launched the Andhra Pradesh Super Cricket Association (APSCA) here last night.
Later, addressing a press conference, APSCA Secretary General D Uday Kiran said super cricket was founded on October 14, 2004 by International Non-Olympic Committee (INOC) Mohd Seraj Ansari.
The International Super Cricket Committee (ISCC) aims to provide regular financial support to all non-Olympic sports worldwide.
Mr Kiran said super cricket was an unique sport and superfast, as it consumed less time and is more excitement.
He said the ISCC will organise Super Cricket World Cup, Champions Trophy, Women's World Cup, Under-19 Super Cricket World Cup besides Ansar Trophy.
The entire structure of the state body would be announced in a week's time, he said adding the inaugural match would be held here on June 18. The players and teams for the match would be finalised soon.
The Super Cricket highlights include 35 overs per side, five balls a over, 12-member team and nine players in men's and women's category.
The match duration was 85 minutes for each side. Five runs will be given for a boundary, seven runs for over the boundary and ten penalty runs.
