Student commits suicide on hearing exam result

Berhampur, May 30 (UNI) A student of Plus Two Science in Khallikote Autonomous Junior College here today committed suicide on hearing the publication of result.

Police said Jagannath Dalei, who did not appear in the practical test for the plus two Science examination, took the extreme step when he came to know that the result would be published today.

Jagannath, who was staying with his parents, watched the programmes in the television till midnight. He then hanged himself with a telephone wire in his Ram Nagar fourth lane residence under B N Pur police station in the wee hours this morning.

The student had left a suicide note, stating that he committed suicide because his examination result would be withheld for not appearing the practical examination.
