Seven succumb to burn injuries
Mumbai, May 29 (UNI) Seven people, who had sustained burn injuries in a cooking gas cylinder blast on May 26 at Antop Hill here, succumbed to their injuries at the Sion Hospital today.
The blast had occurred at the shanty of Lahu Vitthal Nivas in the Shivajinagar slums following a gas leakage. The blast was severe and had led to a major fire in which over 70 people, from surrounding areas, were injured.
The injured had been admitted to various hospitals, including the KEM, Kasturba and Sion hospitals.
Seven of the victims, who had sustained over 70 per cent burn injuries, died at the Sion hospital today while undergoing treatment.
