Senior journalist died in heart attack
Allahabad, May 30 (UNI) Senior journalist Radhe Shyam Patel died at his residence here today following a heart attack.
He was 56.
Mr Patel was associated with the Hindi daily ''Gandiva'' published from Varanasi for over three decades.
He suffered a cardiac arrest this afternoon and died before the arrival of medical help.
Mr Patel had been close to top Bhartiya Janata Party leaders, including Mr Kalyan Singh, Mr Raj Nath Singh and Dr Murali Manohar Joshi.
He was associated with the BJP for many years and had contested the Assembly election.
His last rites will be performed tomorrow at Arail Ghat on the banks of river Ganga.
Journalists in Allahabad, at a meeting, condoled the death of Mr Patel.
