Rural employment scheme soon for all districts: Selja

Panchkula, May 30 (UNI) The National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme will be implemented on a priority basis in all the districts of the country to generate more employment opportunities for unemployed rural youths, Union Minister of State for Urban Employment and Poverty Alleviation, Kumari Selja said today.

The Minister after inaugurating Kendriya Vihar-II, a residential complex built by Central Government Employees Welfare Housing Organisation, informed that this scheme was earlier implemented in select districts of the country.

She said the scheme was implemented in Sirsa and Mahendergarh districts of Haryana.

She asserted that Congress president Sonia Gandhi had instructed the government to formulate and implement people-friendly schemes, and added that the state government and the Union government had been preparing various social welfare schemes for providing better future to all sections of the society.

Speaking on the occasion, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan informed that the Centre had completed all formalities for sanctioning of the special package for HMT pirjore andj would release it soon.
